Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Please read these terms carefully. They explain what you can expect from BitMento and what we expect from you, including the rules for AI-generated content, fair practice, certificates and payments.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and BitMento (“BitMento”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of bitmento.com and the BitMento app (the “Service”). By creating an account, ticking the agreement box at sign-up, or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract in India. If you are younger, you may use the Service only with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use and accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. What BitMento provides
BitMento is an AI-assisted learning platform. It lets you build courses around your goals, learn from lessons, practise in a live code editor, play adaptive arcade games, solve coding problems, chat with an AI mentor that gives hints rather than answers, earn XP, levels and certificates, and share an optional public profile. Some features are early versions and may change, be limited, or be withdrawn as we develop the product. We may update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects a plan you have paid for.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account, so tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One account per person. Do not share your account, sell or transfer it, or create accounts to get around a suspension or a limit.
- Choose a username that does not impersonate someone else or contain unlawful or offensive content. We may change or remove usernames that do.
4. AI-generated content
Courses, lessons, quiz and game questions, explanations and mentor replies are generated by AI models. AI can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Treat the content as a learning aid, check anything important against reliable sources, and do not rely on it as professional, legal, financial, medical or career advice.
Code output shown in the editor comes from running your code in a sandbox, but a result that runs is not a guarantee that the code is correct, secure or suitable for production. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, exam result, job or income.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors;
- cheat on graded practice, games or problems, including by evading or tampering with tab-switch or camera checks, using another person to answer for you, or automating answers;
- copy, scrape, resell or republish questions, solutions, courses or other Service content at scale;
- use the code runner to attack other systems, mine cryptocurrency, send spam, access the network or files of the sandbox, or consume resources abusively;
- probe, test or bypass security or rate limits, access another user’s data, or interfere with the Service’s operation;
- use bots or automated means to create accounts or use the Service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows; or
- upload malware or material you do not have the right to share.
6. Practice integrity and monitoring
Graded course practice may record tab-switch events and reasons you give and, only if you allow it, run periodic camera checks, as described in our Privacy Policy. These are automated, coarse signals and can be wrong. If a flagged attempt looks like a breach of these Terms, we may review it and, where we reasonably conclude the rules were broken, decline to count the attempt, withhold or revoke a certificate, or restrict the account. We will consider an explanation from you before acting wherever that is practical.
Not having a camera, or declining to use it, is not itself a breach of these Terms.
7. Your content and licence to us
You keep ownership of what you create on the Service — your code, answers, posts, profile text and the goals and notes you give the AI. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display that content, and to send it to our AI and infrastructure providers, solely to operate, secure and improve the Service for you and, where you choose to make it public, to show it to others.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to upload it. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use, or personal data about other people without a lawful basis. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, branding, game and question content, and the courses and other material we generate and curate — belongs to BitMento or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning in line with these Terms. Nothing here transfers any of our intellectual property to you.
9. Certificates
A BitMento certificate records that you met our completion criteria for a course — currently finishing every lesson and clearing the required practice tiers — and carries a verification code that anyone can use to check it on our website. The name printed on it is the certificate name from your profile, so enter your name as you want it shown.
A certificate is issued by BitMento only. It is not a degree, diploma or accreditation from any university, board or regulator, and we do not guarantee that any employer or institution will recognise it. We may revoke a certificate that was obtained in breach of these Terms. Completion criteria may change over time.
10. Plans, prices and payment
Some features require a paid plan. Plans, their prices and their duration are shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay; by paying you also agree to Razorpay’s terms. A plan lasts for the fixed period shown at checkout and does not renew automatically unless the plan is expressly described as recurring when you buy it.
- You authorise us to charge the amount shown, including any applicable taxes, to your chosen payment method.
- Promo, referral and institution codes are subject to their own conditions, may be limited in number or time, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Access to paid features starts once payment is confirmed. If a payment is debited but your plan is not activated, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a plan you have already paid for.
11. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers for AI, code execution, payments, sign-in and hosting. We are not responsible for their services, and they may be unavailable or change. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse them.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be excluded, including under consumer protection law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BitMento and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data, opportunity or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹1,000 if you have not paid us anything.
You agree to indemnify BitMento against claims, losses and costs arising from your content or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time by emailing support@bitmento.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we must do so to comply with the law, to protect the Service or other users, or if your account is inactive for a long period. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law — survive termination. Closing an account does not by itself entitle you to a refund; see the Refund Policy.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at support@bitmento.com so we can try to resolve any dispute informally. If we cannot, the courts at Goa, India will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and tell us so we can close your account.
